ob Title: Mechanical (QA/QC) Technician Your Role: Ensuring adherence to specifications and the Project QA plan for James Irwin Construction. Location: Leinster EU Work Permit Essential Position Reports to: Onsite Project Manager Length of Contract: 6 months+ Salary: Negotiable Responsibilities: Responsible for conducting mechanical inspections related to installations, testing, and commissioning for the project. Conduct inspections of ongoing mechanical activities and material deliveries. Participate in mechanical inspections alongside client/contractor representatives. Coordinate inspection requests with site/project engineers. Prepare daily QA/QC reports covering inspections, materials, and non-conformances. Generate weekly surveillance reports, non-conformance reports, and verify corrective actions. Review drawings and documents for compliance with project requirements. Ensure adherence to approved method statements and drawings. Verify calibration and validity of certificates for all equipment used. Assist/coordinate the preparation of final handover documents, including QCQA documents and testing/commissioning reports. Collaborate on testing and commissioning method statements with vendors, General Contractor representatives, and project owners. Represent the company at site meetings and attend Factory Acceptance Tests as needed. Perform other assigned or requested duties. Requirements: Relevant Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Trade qualification; QA/QC experience preferred. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a QA/QC role. QA/QC Qualification advantageous but not essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report preparation. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Valid Manual Handling and Safe Pass certificates. Eligibility to work in the EU.
